dreamflower is the translation of Lothlorien, the Golden Wood in JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. I have been a fan since childhood and felt it would be the perfect name for my photography collection.

In the books, Lothlorien had a much longer (and more unpronounceable) name, but it was shortened as the wood began to fade. As I learn more about plants and ecosystems, I sometimes fear that, inevitably, "all woods must fail." See the links page for some positive steps we can take to care for our natural spaces. I have captured some of those spaces here, just in case...
